If misgendering/otherwise insulting someone is equivilent to physical action then I would say that doing so unintentionally would be like doing something accidentally -- but do you also consider these things to be genuinely equivalent?

I mean, I think it's very rude to refer to people by names or terms they don't approve of, but I wouldn't personally equate it to physical violence (unless, possibly, there is an *explicit* threat of physical violence within the term used, and even then possibly not...).
