Oh, I was only applying the 'its wrong to ask' clause to a situation where she had very explicitly said that it was wrong to ask. So if she'd wrote down 'everybody is allowed to kiss me' then checking in previously is perfectly good ettiquete, but if she'd written 'as long as they don't speak to me' then it would be quite clear that asking her about it was not something she was happy with.
