I'm posting this entry for the edification of new readers, as a flag to my important posts (at least the ones important to me), and a map of my world.

My name's Maxine Green. I'm an artist and illustrator by trade, polyamorous (and many other things) by nature, a scientist at heart, and an activist by accident.

My introductory post is here: Butterfly

A continuing series of scribblings about the things that are important to me:
Defining My Terms: 1. Bisexuality
Defining my Terms 2: Polyamory
Defining my Terms 3: Kink
Defining My Terms 4: Radical Agnostic

Hello! I hope this isn't a bad post to come and say hi, but I just wanted to let you know that I've "friended" you. I'll see you around :-)

Hello I would also like to add you as a friend. I'm a small female Alex and we met at a rather fabulous party at Kings Lynn. Hope that clues you into who I am!

Ooh, made a penny drop - I've seen your name pop up in other people's LJ comment threads and found your responses interesting and perceptive. Great stuff! Very cool now to know who you are! :)

Hey - met you earlier, found you attractive in a number of ways, so decided to add you. Obviously. *grin* Nice polka-dots, by the way. ;D

Another body who's found you via [livejournal.com profile] smescrater - already commented on the radical agnostic post. Thanks for improving the signal-to-noise ratio on the Internet.

I see that I never replied to this, but that is an awesome compliment and has made me smile several times already when I come back to this post for various reasons. Belated thanks!

Activist by accident? Gosh, I know that feeling! Never meant to be here, never read your writings (but will today), but am "accidentally" thrown into the role of "believer" in the midst of Christian fundamentalists. Having been "found out," i am both miserable and - yet (secretly) hoping others will somehow see past their "training" and realize love is where we find it. Why are labels more important than people?

You put you LJ ID on the uk-poly list & you are obviously a thinker so I have friended you.

I have 2 partners, but only out to my partners, my son and a few friends so far. I too am a geek, ambidextrous, agnostic and drink copious amounts of tea, so we have a few things in common.

Why thankyou! Though it would be easier to figure out if I was up for that if you hadn't commented anonymously! :)

I just read your wonderful rant on the UK Poly list.

Wonderful, articulate and admirably restrained. Thank you for writing it.

I suspect that the ones who'll appreciate it are the ones who have no wish to engage with the more vocal members of the list. A group in which I am sad to say I include myself.
