Joy (and super-short poem)

I woke up this morning blissfully happy, and grateful for everything wonderful I have in the world. (An attitude that perhaps certain people living close to me might do well to adopt, but that's by the by)

Simply, I love my life, and the wonderful people I have in it, and I may just be the happiest girl in the world.

So in this mood of general good cheer, I nab an idea from darkfloweruk and tartful_dodger and post a short love-poem.

It's 20 words, and not 15, and I doubly cheat by having composed it about six years ago, but I've never posted it anywhere before:

When it's quiet, I can hear you smile,
and I think perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to be blind.


*and anyone who thinks you can't hear someone smile has clearly never been quiet enough.

Yay for happy people, the world needs more like you. I am also happy, in part for the many good things that are, and also for the good things that will be. Yes I am single and far away from my friends, but that just makes the impending relocation and ensuing life changes all the more exciting.

And so I poem at you!

Though friends and I are far apart
I keep them with me, in my heart.

Aw, glad you like! I have been a bad bunny and not got in contact with anyone in ages.
Hope things are going well in Ruth world - and I'm still gutted about your party clashing with Polyday. It's all getting a bit stressful now, with two weeks to go!
